I officially released jibjib 1.0.2 yesterday which added a few logging information to help debugging problem regarding incompatibility in many phones. One of my guess for the source of all problems are user-agent. If you have any problems, please file an issue as well as your phone model, jibjib version and your user-agent. Your user-agent is logged and available in Log screen.

I also just found an issue caused by Google Code. Downloading .jad from Google Code will return with incorrect content-type, text/plain. Some phones, e.g., Siemens m65, don't like this content-type and will not install as usual. I'm working on workaround for this problem. It should be available in next version.
