GeoPin
GeoPin is an opensource project for Android which lets you pin a point on Google Maps and share the latitude/longitude of that point easily. I know we are human and latitude/longitude is not human-readable and not user-friendly at all but our phones and GPS love to read latitude/longitude.
It is such a kind of pain in the ass when I want to know exact latitude and longitude of a point on the move. Google Maps does not let me know the numbers. I just want to share that latitude and longitude with my friends via email, Twitter or SMS. There is a good candidate called GeoPicker. I wish to extend it for further integration with other geolocation services but it is not opensource project.
GeoPin project is hosted at Google Code and it is always up-to-date. Read it, copy it, fork it, clone it!
Every lines of code are typed in VIM. You have to import to Eclipse manually if you work on Eclipse.

This is a great app. It makes you wonder why this is not a standard feature of Google Maps.
