This morning scary message on solid black screen:

General mounting error

The problem is just a line in /etc/fstab.

proc            /proc           proc    defaults        0       0

Simply remove it. Another change is /etc/udev/rules.d. It has been moved to /lib/udev/rules.d. Below is 51-android.rules for hTC Magic.
