Google Summer of Code 2008 is ready for students. List of mentoring organizations are available as well as basic ideas proposed by each project. There are several interesting projects.

1. Drupal is still opened for project proposals. If you have cool idea, please share it!

2. Globus is a new mentoring organization this year. Difficulty in this project is not too hard, e.g., integrating Globus Toolkit to specific linux distributions, debian or redhat.

If you are a student and would like to participate this program, this is the right time to survey what you want to do, what you can do and to prepare your proposal early.

For me, I really want to push below 2 projects like crazy.
